"I cannot thank VOW enough for setting up meetings in Enfield North. I was going through domestic abuse for 18 years and I never spoke to anybody about my ordeal. In one of the meetings, we were sharing our experiences, one lady spoke about her abusive relationship and how she ended it up and is now happier. For the first time, I opened up to the group and got the support I needed. Through the VOW 6 weeks domestic abuse champion training, I learnt so much and found the strength to turn my life around. I am now living the life I longed for. Thank you!!!
" I was going through anxiety and stress as I received a letter from a bailiff. I didn't know what to do, English is not my first language, I did not know who could understand me and that was affecting my mental health. A friend referred me to the VOW group. I found the comfort I needed and the support. They made contacts for me with a debt charity and we agreed on a repayment plan. I also attended their "money matters" programs to learn how to manage money. I highly recommend this group." Pamela.
" My daughter is more confident and sociable since she started attending the VOW youth dancing club"
"The art festival is my favourite VOW event. We meet new people and learn about other their cultures."
Charlotte, 14.
"I am encouraged to try new things. I was scared of performing before a crowd but now I am confident. I learn poems, dance and singing. I love being with other young people" Daniella, 10
